Privacy policy
This policy covers the 9ERS website and app, run by 9ERS and its organisers ("we").
Information we collect
What you give us when you apply and use the app: your email address (to sign in), name, WhatsApp number, your cars and their photos, and the events you RSVP to, plus what the app needs to send you notifications. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking.
How it's used and who sees it
We use it to review your application, run the club and its events, and contact you. Club admins and moderators can see members' details. Other members only see your first name and car model on event RSVP lists. Nothing about you is public on the website.
We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, except the service providers that host the app and deliver our emails and notifications on our behalf.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while you're a member. Rejected applications are deleted after 12 months. To get a copy of your data, email membership@9ers.ae. To delete your account, see Delete your account; it's deleted straight away, and a private backup copy is kept for up to 30 days, then permanently erased.
Other bits
You must be 18 or older to apply. This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. If we change it, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
